Additional Director (Biotechnology), PSCST with ‘GR8! Women Award
2010 in Science & Technology’.
The
Indian Television Academy awarded Dr. Jatinder Kaur Arora,
Additional Director (Biotechnology), PSCST with ‘GR8! Women
Award 2010 in Science &Technology’ in a mega event organized
by the Academy in Mumbai. This glittering event was telecast by
Sony Channel on 11.3.2010. These coveted awards are given by the
Academy to laud and celebrate women achievers of India in
different genres, in order to create awareness about the curse of
female foeticide rampant in the country. The Academy honoured 24
women achievers this year selected from all over the country
including the celebrities like Aishwarya Rai, Sushmita Sen, Saroj
Khan, Zoya Akhtar, Shehnaz Hussain etc. in various categories.
Dr. Arora is the first women from this part of the country to have
received this prestigious award for contribution in the field of
Science & Technology.

Director (Biotechnology) by Society for Promotion of Plant Science
Research
The
Society for Promotion of Plant Science Research conferred
Distinction Award on Dr. Jatinder Kaur Arora, Additional Director
(Biotechnology), PSCST for her academic distinctions and
significant contributions towards National and International
understanding and goodwill in Life Sciences / Biotechnology. The
Society for Promotion of Plant Science Research is a distinguished
scientific body which has been bringing out Journal of Plant
Science Research for the last 25 years. Dr. Arora received the
Distinction Award during National Seminar on “New Biology and
Plant Engineering” held at Jaipur on 1-2 December, 2009 from Padma
Bhushan, Dr. Asis Datta, former Vice-Chancellor, Jawahar Lal Nehru
University.
