techniques’ at Punjab university, Chandigarh. 2nd
position in order of merit. Recipient of UGC & CSIR fellowships.
After a stint at NIS, as Junior Research
Officer, joined PSCST in 1988. Credited with bringing the
prestigious ‘Pushpa Gujral Science City project to Punjab.
Currently implementing various short and long term science
popularization projects including National Science Day, National
Technology Day, and Motivational Programme for talented students.
Handled GOI projects like International year of physics, year of
Scientific Awareness, International Year of Planet Earth, Transit
of Venus, Rise of Modern Indian Science, Total Solar Eclipse, and
International Year of Astronomy & Improvement of Science teaching
