Objectives

The Division of Biotechnology is providing technical support to State Government in its biotech endeavours including policy, human resource and infrastructual development. It is promoting both grass root as well as mega projects which are focused on rural empowerment and acceleration of commercialization in biotech sector especially in the areas of agro processing, health care and environment. It is also providing information services on fundamental issues and application aspects of biotechnology to various users through its outreach programmes.
