12. Effect of Budha Nallah Pollution on river quality and reproductive biology of some fishes

The project was taken up by Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana to study large scale fish mortality and effect on reproductive biology on fishes due to excessive pollution of Budha Nallah. Efforts were made to collect representative fish samples for 2 consective years. However, the project was closed in their absence. The project highlighted the havoc being caused to aquatic flora and fauna in Sutlej River due to pollution in Budha Nallah, a rivulet feeding the river.
