4. Punjab Environment Status Report, 1995

The first Status report on environment of Punjab was prepared in 1984. PSCST prepared the 2nd report in 1995. The report is the first comprehensive document which identifies major environmental problems of the State and presents data on the Status of existing environmental quality. Both, short & long term measures to ensure ecosystem conservation have been recommended. The report has been divided into 10 sections covering natural resources, agriculture, energy, solid waste, environment education & awareness, policy and legislation related to environment in Punjab.
