4. Improvement of science education in schools of Punjab

Council had conducted a survey in 1990 on the status of science education in Punjab for ascertaining the causes of the deteriorating situation pertaining to loss of interest for science subjects in the school students. A number of reasons had come up and Council has since been making efforts for reformation of the same. Currently, a plan of action is being prepared for improvement in teaching of science and mathematics by involving Higher Education and Education deptts., School Education Board and State Institute of Science Education, Punjab.
