2. Mapping & Monitoring of Salinity Associated with Waterlogging using Remote Sensing Technology

The major objective of the projects was to map soil salinity associated with water logging using both satellite imagery & aerial photography.

The maps showing soil salinity and water logging were prepared for al the districts of the State under this project. The report was sent to Agriculture Department for taking up soil reclamation measures. The project was implemented by Punjab Remote Sensing Centre, PAU-Ludhiana.
