5. Crop Production Forecasting and Technique Development for Yield Estimation – Rice

The major objectives of this project were to estimate rice crop production and preparation of yield model for the State of Punjab.

During this project, India Remote Sensing Satellite was used for estimation of rice acreage and preparation of yield metal. The Agriculture Department, Punjab is making use of remote sensing technology for estimation of rice production well in advance. The project was implemented by PAU-Ludhiana.
