Objectives

The objectives of the division are preparation of technology plans/study reports, assist State Govt. departments in water management plans, promote linkages between State and Central Govt. organizations, national level research institutes etc. Further, the division promotes awareness programmes in the area of water conservation through NGOs and undertakes/promotes research in the area of water regime management in association with research organizations. It also promotes remote sensing and GIS applications in water resource management.
