Development works

The council has catalyzed the formation of institutions like Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA), Pushpa Gujral Science City (PGSC), Science Technology Entrepreneurship parks and a Patent Information Cell (PIC) .

Also infrastructural development in villages is being taken up through demonstrations of small bore size system for collection of Sewage and its treatment, setting up of units for treatment of livestock waste and household garbage through Vermiculture as well as the Duckweed –cum- pisciculture system for biomanagement of sullage ponds
